ABOUT ME

Hi! I'm so glad you found me here and I hope we have the chance to see if this therapeutic relationship is a good fit.

I am a white and cis-gendered female; I use she/her pronouns. In my personal and professional life, I strive to unlearn the racism and heteronormativity that are pervasive in our culture. I believe not only in inclusivity, but in building structures that are equitable for folks of all identities. This is a core value in my practice and guides the way in which I show up in the room with my clients.

I am a native Kentuckian but have proudly called New Orleans home since 2009. I have a degree in Psychology from the University of Kentucky and a Master of Social Work from Bryn Mawr College. Before starting my private practice, I worked in education as an individual and family therapist. I deeply value the therapeutic process and have experienced this relationship from both client and practitioner sides.

In my practice, I work from an attachment focused, culturally-informed lens and strive to help you build on the strengths you already possess and bring to the relationships in your life. I am certified in Emotionally-Focused Therapy and closely examine the ways in which culture and developmental history impact the way you see yourself and how you exist in relationships. I am passionate about working with folks who want to explore their patterns in relationships and strengthen the bond with self and those they love.

I believe that healing happens from a place of compassion and validation; that belief guides my approach to building client relationships. I also believe in humor and showing up as a real human in the room with you as we work together toward your goals.
